Hay season is almost here
The fields are knee deep in clover and rye. We grazed late this winter, so the heads shouldn’t ripen so early. That’s a good thing, because the April showers look like they’re going to last way into June.
George has the mower cleaned and greased and the rake repaired, but the baler is full of fresh chicken eggs. That’s going to be one bummed out hen when we fire things off.
Once we get a window of good weather the tractor will be off and running. Keep your fingers crossed that the sun cooperates.
